Providing cheerful and cosy accommodation for up to three guests, this characterful hideaway is perfect for walkers, nature spotters, anglers and water sports enthusiasts keen to discover an idyllic corner of the magical Cambridgeshire countryside. The property lies just under a mile from the heart of the picturesque village of Grafham where you will find a choice of great places to eat and drink. It sits along the northern bank of Grafham Water, a vast reservoir with tranquil walking trails and an activity centre offering sailing, surfing and fishing. Exploring the area to the east, popular sites include Brampton Wood Nature Reserve, Buckden Towers and Hinchingbrooke Country Park, all within 6.5 miles. Heading south, you can explore the Southlake Waterpark and Paxton Pits Nature Reserve on the way to the historic town of St Neots (8.5 miles).
Entering this bright, fresh and inviting hideaway you will be met by the warm and relaxing lounge, with an open fire set in an impressive brick inglenook. Also featuring ample plush seating and a Smart TV, this is an ideal space for everyone to settle back and unwind in after a day’s adventures on Grafham Water. Heading through, the characterful farmhouse-style kitchen/diner is beautifully tiled, with a country-style dining table, plenty of storage and workspace and a range of equipment and appliances. The ground floor also features a refreshing shower room. Going upstairs you will find two bedrooms, a double and a single. both decorated in tasteful relaxing shades. The double has Smart TV and the bed is strategically placed to make the most of the lovely countryside views.
From the kitchen you can step out into a pretty garden with a small courtyard with comfortable seating, perfect for enjoying a meal alfresco. Head through a gate from here and into a long, enclosed garden with a generous lawn, which leads directly out onto the meadow that flows down to the shore of Grafham Water. Private parking is available for one car.
