Escape to The Lazy Bear at Tollgate, a cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bath mountain home tucked into Oregon’s beautiful Blue Mountains. Surrounded by forest and close to Jubilee Lake, hiking trails, winter recreation and the small mountain community of Tollgate, it’s a comfortable home base for families, couples and friends looking to relax and explore.
The home sleeps up to 6 guests. The primary bedroom features a king bed and its own propane fireplace, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds—giving everyone a comfortable place to settle in after a day in the mountains.
Inside, you’ll find a full kitchen with a gas range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cookware and basic cooking utensils. Complimentary coffee and creamer are provided to help you start your morning. Please note that the kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
Relax with free Wi-Fi and a Smart TV, or warm up by the propane fireplace after a day outside. A washer and dryer are available for guest use, which is especially convenient after hiking, playing in the snow or enjoying a longer stay.
Step outside to enjoy the front porch, small yard and peaceful mountain surroundings. Off-street parking is available for up to two vehicles.
Outdoor adventure is one of the best parts of staying at The Lazy Bear. Spend a summer afternoon fishing, kayaking or picnicking at Jubilee Lake, take an easy walk around the approximately 2.8-mile Jubilee Lake Loop Trail, or venture farther into the Blue Mountains. Nearby hiking options include Zig Zag Springs and Grouse Mountain, Umatilla Rim Trail and Burnt Cabin Trail. In winter, the Tollgate area becomes a playground for snow-filled mountain adventures.
When you’re ready for a meal or supplies, Tollgate Crossing is nearby for food, coffee, groceries and fuel. Head down the mountain to historic Weston for a meal at the Long Branch Cafe & Saloon or to explore the surrounding area.
The Lazy Bear is an entire-home rental, so the house is yours to enjoy during your stay. Your hosts, Brooke and Dave, live in a separate home on the property with their family and pets. We respect our guests’ privacy and give you plenty of space, while also being conveniently nearby if you need assistance or would like recommendations.
Mountain weather and road conditions can change quickly, particularly during winter. We recommend checking conditions before traveling and arriving prepared for mountain driving.
