A PRIVATE VILLA IN THE HEART OF DOOLIN:
Horseshoe House is a large five-bedroom villa in the centre of Doolin village, sleeping up to 10 guests.
With private decks and hot tubs overlooking the 500-year-old Doonmacfelim Castle, it is a peaceful place to relax after a day exploring the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren or the Aran Islands.
PLEASE NOTE: Horseshoe House is not suitable for children aged 12 months to 11 years. One infant under 12 months is welcome.
The villa is within easy walking distance of Doolin’s famous music pubs and restaurants, and the Cliffs of Moher coastal walk begins just across the road.
THE VILLA
The bright, open-plan living area has large windows overlooking the surrounding countryside and our horse paddock.
There is are two fully equipped kitchens and two dining areas, with the larger kitchen opening directly onto the private deck with hot tub and a view of Doonmacfelim Castle.
The villa has Wi-Fi throughout, and the kitchens give you the freedom to dine at home if you wish. With Doolin’s excellent restaurants and pubs just a short walk away, however, you may prefer to leave the cooking to someone else.
BEDROOMS:
The villa has five comfortable bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and walk-in rain shower.
The master bedroom has a 6ft king bed, which can be configured as two singles if requested in advance. The bathroom also has a jacuzzi bath.
Three bedrooms have 5ft beds, while the fifth has two twin beds, making the villa ideal for families or groups travelling together.
All bedrooms have 50-inch Samsung Smart TVs, quality linen, towels and robes.
OUTSIDE:
The private deck and terrace overlooks the 500-year-old Doonmacfelim Castle and surrounding countryside. The hot tub is exclusively for guests staying at Horseshoe House
It is a lovely place for morning coffee, an evening drink or a quiet soak after a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
The villa has five car parking spaces and access to an EV charge point. Please note that the parking area and EV charge point are shared with a neighbouring lodge.
DOOLIN:
Horseshoe House is in the centre of Doolin, within easy walking distance of the village’s music pubs and restaurants.
You can park the car and walk almost everywhere.
There are five pubs and restaurants within approximately five minutes' walk of the villa. Enjoy dinner, listen to traditional Irish music and simply walk home afterwards.
No driving. No taxis. Just Doolin.
The Cliffs of Moher coastal walk begins just across the road. Doolin Pier, the Aran Islands and the Burren are all within easy reach.

A personal check-in and guided tour of your villa is available between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. We will show you around, explain how everything works and make sure you are comfortable before leaving you to enjoy your stay.
If you expect to arrive after 6:00pm, or if your plans are delayed, please let us know in advance and we will arrange key collection.

We are happy to share our local recommendations for cheese, smoked fish, bread, meats and deli items.

The Cliffs of Moher coastal walking route begins close to the villa, offering a wonderful way to experience the cliffs away from the crowds.
Follow the coastline with the Atlantic Ocean and dramatic sea cliffs unfolding along the route towards the Cliffs of Moher. We can also help arrange Cliffs of Moher experiences with local guides.
VISIT THE ARAN ISLANDS:
Doolin Harbour provides easy access to the Aran Islands.
Take the ferry across Galway Bay and spend the day exploring island roads, stone walls, ancient sites and traditional Irish culture.
