About this house rental
Musician-owned and designed, this fully renovated mid-century farmhouse sits well back from the street behind mature trees, with fenced front and back yards — private and quiet. The renovation is detailed and design-forward: terrazzo and white-oak floors, oversized windows, designer lighting, Herman Miller and Danish mid-century furniture, a floor-to-ceiling record wall with a working turntable, and original art throughout.
The living, dining, and kitchen areas share an open floor plan with generous square footage — six people can spread out here without crowding each other.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
An established, quiet South Austin neighborhood of full-time residents — big trees, calm streets — with the city's main draws a short drive away.
~5–10 min — St. David's South Austin Medical Center
~10 min — South Congress, Zilker Park & Barton Springs Pool
~15 min — Downtown and Rainey Street
~15–20 min — UT campus, ABIA Airport & Circuit of the Americas

For festival weekends (ACL, SXSW, F1), the location gives quick access to downtown and COTA while staying quiet at night. For longer stays, this is a residential neighborhood, not a rental corridor.
SLEEPING — 6 guests, three separate spaces
King suite — platform king beneath a mountain-and-sea mural by Jennifer Shorto, with French doors to the garden.
Queen room — soft sage walls, a collected gallery wall, garden light.
The casita — a detached, air-conditioned, glass-fronted cabin in the garden with twin bunks.
Popular with kids; on longer stays it works as a guest room or quiet reading space. (Sleeping space only — bath and kitchen are steps away in the main house.)

One with a double vanity, walk-in shower, and freestanding soaking tub set in handmade blue tile. The other with a walk-in shower and bold geometric wallpaper.
THE KITCHEN
Custom European melamine cabinetry with honed granite counters and backsplash, Bosch appliances, and a gas range, wrapped around an island with seating. Fully equipped for cooking real meals, not just reheating.
THE SUNROOM & GYM
A covered sunroom runs the length of the back of the house — open and bright under a translucent roof, with a 12-seat table and ceiling fans. At one end, an open-air gym: spin bike, dumbbell rack, adjustable bench, pull-up tower, and push-up bars. (Gym can be set up or put away upon request)
WORKSPACES
Three separate workstations, the one equipped with an external monitor and dock, with gigabit fiber internet (1,000+ Mbps service) throughout. Two people can take video calls simultaneously behind closed doors.
PRACTICAL
Full-size washer and dryer. Covered carport plus a two-car driveway. Central Market and Target are under five minutes away. Portable crib available; pets considered with a fee — the yards are fenced.
