Centrally located in the charming village of Portinscale, 1 Harney Peak offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful scenery. Just a 20-minute flat walk from Keswick and within easy reach of Derwentwater, this self-contained cottage is perfectly suited for couples, families and friends looking to explore the heart of the Lake District National Park.
The main living space is situated on the first floor and features a newly modernised, well-equipped kitchen alongside an open-plan living and dining area. Large windows fill the space with natural light, while a generous dining table, comfortable seating, and a Smart TV make it ideal for relaxing evenings.
On the ground floor, there are two spacious and comfortable bedrooms—a double and a twin—both offering ample storage. The contemporary bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail, is also located on this level. The property benefits from its own private entrance and two allocated off-road parking spaces.
1 Harney Peak has been welcoming guests for many years. A variety of cafés, pubs, and restaurants are within easy walking distance, perfect for enjoying a hearty breakfast or evening meal. From the property, flat, off-road paths lead to the lakeside and Derwentwater Marina, or into Keswick with its wide range of shops and amenities. The Keswick Launch is accessible from the nearby Nichol End Marina or Hawes End, offering a scenic way to explore the surrounding fells from the water. For those who enjoy walking, Catbells provides stunning views, while the lakeshore path to Brandlehow Park offers a more leisurely stroll.
