About this house rental
You won't see us, and that's by design. Check-in is keyless, the house is entirely yours, and nobody drops by.
That said, we're reachable and quick. Message us through your booking platform any time and you'll usually hear back ASAP (allow for more time with messages outside of the 9am-9pm times during the day. We have a local team in Wilmington, so if something needs fixing, someone can be there the same day.
Before you arrive, we'll send everything you need: door code, directions, parking details, and WiFi. The house also has a guide book with our favorite spots nearby.
You're in a quiet residential pocket off Princess Place Drive, which puts you almost exactly in the middle of Wilmington. Downtown, the university, and the airport are each under 10 minutes, and you can reach any of the three beaches without crossing the city.
Right around the corner. Goody Goody Omelet House is half a mile east on Market Street, a genuine old-school diner that opens at 6 AM and has been a Wilmington fixture for decades. It's cash only and worth the stop. Food Lion on South Kerr Avenue is about a mile away and open 7 AM to 11 PM if you want to stock the kitchen. Maides Park is a short walk north with a newly remodeled playground, walking trail, and courts.
Downtown and the river, about 8 minutes. Wilmington's National Register Historic District spans more than 230 blocks, one of the largest in the country, with brick streets under live oaks draped in Spanish moss. The Riverwalk runs a mile along the Cape Fear and stays open 24 hours, lined with restaurants, galleries, and boat tour docks. Hidden Grounds Coffee on South 2nd Street is a local favorite with a big multi-level outdoor patio. The Bellamy Mansion, Burgwin-Wright House, and Latimer House are all within a few blocks if you want to see the inside of an 1800s home.
The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, just across the water. She earned 15 battle stars in the Pacific and now sits opposite downtown as a self-guided museum where you can climb into the gun turrets and walk the crew quarters.
UNCW, about 8 minutes straight down Kerr Avenue. Easy for campus tours, move-in, parents' weekend, and graduation.
Airlie Gardens, about 15 minutes east. Sixty-seven acres of gardens and lakes, with the Airlie Oak dating to 1545. Azaleas in spring and Enchanted Airlie lights in November and December.
Three beaches, three moods. Wrightsville Beach is about 20 minutes and is the polished one, with clear water, good surfing, and Johnnie Mercer's Pier. Watch for the Heide Trask drawbridge, which opens on the hour and half hour and can add 10 minutes. Carolina Beach is about 30 minutes and is the fun family option, with a vintage boardwalk, Ferris wheel, summer Thursday fireworks, and Britt's Donuts. Kure Beach is a little further south, quieter, with the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher and easier parking.
If your timing lines up. The NC Azalea Festival takes over the city in April with parades and home tours, Riverfest brings music and fireworks downtown in October, and the Fourth of July lights up the river.
The entire house is yours. No shared spaces, no one else on the property.
Check in any time after [4 PM] using the keypad at the front door. Your code is sent automatically the morning of arrival and works through checkout at [11 AM], so there's nothing to coordinate and no key to lose. [Late arrivals are fine.]

A car is the easiest way to get around Wilmington, and there's parking at the house. ILM airport is about 7 minutes away, with direct service to more than 15 destinations, so rental car pickup is quick.
Rideshare is widely available and works well for downtown nights out when you'd rather not drive.
If you'd rather not have a car at all, Wave Transit runs 12 fixed bus routes across the city, including service to the airport, plus a free trolley downtown and a $2 point-to-point rideshare service called RideMICRO. Regular one-way fare is $2.00, with a day pass at $5.00.
Downtown and the Riverwalk are genuinely walkable once you're there, and the Cross City Trail runs 15 miles across the area for biking.
