About this cabin rental
❄️ Discover Oak Lake in the Off-Season
During the summer, Oak Island Resort comes alive with campers, golfers, boaters, and families enjoying everything the resort has to offer. But when the campground quiets down for the winter, a whole different side of Oak Lake comes to life.
Each winter, anglers travel to Oak Lake for its incredible ice fishing, with the lake becoming home to a small community of fishing shacks throughout the season. The area is also a popular destination for duck hunting, making Oak Lake a perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts.
Thinking about planning an ice fishing trip? Here’s what Hunt Fish MB has to say about Oak Lake:
“Oak Lake is one of the most consistent fisheries in southwestern Manitoba, known for producing trophy-class yellow perch and excellent walleye fishing throughout the year.”
With excellent fishing, beautiful prairie scenery, and the chance to spot wildlife along the shoreline, Oak Lake offers an authentic Manitoba outdoor experience in every season.
The only challenge? Finding a comfortable place to stay.
That’s where we come in.
Our fully equipped rental cabins are open this winter!
Whether you’re planning a weekend of ice fishing with friends, a hunting trip, a peaceful winter escape, or simply want to enjoy the quiet beauty of Oak Lake, our cabins give you a warm and comfortable home base for your adventure.
Come for the fishing. Stay for the getaway.
