Don Tommaso is a spacious yet cosy and welcoming three-bedroom apartment within Dimora degli Affreschi, a beautifully restored 19th-century Florentine palazzo in the vibrant Santa Croce district. Positioned near the banks of the Arno and beside the art-filled Horne Museum, this elegant residence combines historic character with a contemporary Florentine aesthetic, bespoke furnishings and beautifully curated interiors.
The palazzo has been sensitively reconfigured over three years by a team of specialists who carefully respected its historic fabric. Its ten individually designed apartments form part of the Dimora Italia Collection, with interiors curated by ArchFlorence.
Don Tommaso sleeps up to six guests and occupies the first floor. It is reached via a few steps from the main palazzo entrance, with stairs and/or lift access to the first floor.
LIVING & DINING
The apartment's stylish sitting and dining room is decorated in rich terracotta tones and receives plenty of natural light through three tall, south-facing shuttered windows overlooking the tranquil Via Mozza.
A pair of classical-style sofas in natural tones provides comfortable seating for relaxing together, while the elegant dining area features ghost chairs, banquette seating and a dining table accommodating up to eight guests.
The dining space is crowned by an extraordinarily beautiful and highly detailed frescoed ceiling, adding a remarkable sense of Florentine history and artistry to the room.
KITCHEN
Just behind the dining area is a semi-open, well-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances.
Its position alongside the main living and dining space keeps the kitchen connected to the rest of the apartment while retaining a degree of separation.
BEDROOMS
An internal corridor leads towards the rear of the palazzo and connects the three bedrooms.
The principal bedroom is supremely elegant, decorated in slate blue and ochre and furnished with a pretty canopied double bed. Two mirrored wardrobes provide generous storage.
The bedroom has its own sleek bathroom finished with Lewis & Wood's Fan Flower wallcovering and featuring a marble rain shower. A washing machine and dryer are conveniently concealed within an adjacent cupboard.
The second double bedroom follows a similarly sophisticated style and features a central ceiling fresco as its main decorative feature. It has a double bed and a walk-in closet to one side.
Its chic en-suite bathroom is finished in polished blue marmorino and includes a marble rain shower with gorgeous diamond-pattern ceramic tiling.
The third bedroom is a cosy and restful double bedroom positioned at the rear of the apartment. Decorated in natural linen and crimson tones, it features beautifully upholstered twin beds and a wardrobe.
Its bijou marble en-suite bathroom includes a bathtub with shower over.

Bed configurations can be arranged as doubles or twins as shown in the photos. Requests to change a double into twins, or vice versa, must be made at least 7 days before arrival.
PALAZZO GYM
Guests have access to a gym area on the ground floor. The space features a mirrored wall, two stationary bikes — one classic and one elliptical — together with weights and mats.
THE SANTA CROCE LOCATION
Don Tommaso is centrally located in Florence's historic Santa Croce district, close to the Uffizi Gallery and within easy reach of the city's most famous landmarks.
The iconic Duomo is within walking distance, as are the Basilica and sunny Piazza Santa Croce and the spectacular Piazza della Signoria.
A short stroll across nearby Ponte alle Grazie takes you over the Arno towards the magnificent Pitti Palace, the treasures of the Boboli Gardens and the panoramic views from Piazzale Michelangelo.
The surrounding ancient streets are filled with artisans, markets, cafés, bars and restaurants. La Buchetta is directly opposite the palazzo, while the rustic Del Fagioli is just around the corner.
A nearby Conad supermarket is convenient for self-catering, and a nearby car park provides an option for guests arriving by car.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulations. Generally, heating operates from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning operates from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact the host for further information.
Included services are bed linen, air-conditioning and heating.
Upon arrival, a representative will meet guests at the apartment entrance or in the common area of the palazzo, assist with check-in, register the required documents, hand over the keys and show guests around the apartment.
The Florence Tourist Tax is €5.50 per person per night, for a maximum of 7 nights, and is collected on behalf of the Municipality of Florence.
Guests can contact the local office during office hours, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00. An emergency number is also provided at check-in and is available 24/7.
Late check-ins are subject to availability and require an additional fee payable on site.
Smoking is not permitted. Parties and events are not allowed, and pets are not permitted.
