About this house rental
The house is surrounded by tropical forest and offers beautiful views over the Southern Caribbean. On clear mornings, guests can enjoy unforgettable sunrises over the sea, and full-moon nights can be truly magical.
This is an open-air tropical home. The living room and kitchen are intentionally open and do not have insect screens, allowing you to experience the forest, the breeze and the sounds of nature around you. At night, lights can attract small moths, butterflies and other insects, so keeping unnecessary lights off helps reduce them.
The bedrooms are screened, which provides a much more protected sleeping area. However, as with any tropical home, guests should keep bedroom and bathroom doors closed when lights are on to avoid attracting insects inside.
Casa Lia is part of a living ecosystem. Geckos are common, sloths may sleep very close to the house, and raccoons and other wildlife can occasionally pass nearby. You may also see spiders. Most of the spiders found around the property are harmless, but some can grow to an impressive size.
Because of this, Casa Lia is not recommended for guests who are very afraid of insects, spiders, wildlife, or heights.
The elevated design of the house is part of what makes the experience so special, but guests who are uncomfortable with heights should choose another property.
For nature lovers, however, Casa Lia offers something very difficult to find: privacy, rainforest, wildlife, open-air living and extraordinary views of the Caribbean, all in one place.
