Classic Glen Lake cottage on the water with a private dock, firepit, sandy frontage, and sunset views.
The lakeside cottage at Terrapin Station sits right on the coveted east shore of Big Glen Lake, where the water runs shallow and sandy for a long way out and the sunsets come in over Alligator Hill. Original Glen Lake charm is everywhere you look here, knotty pine walls, exposed beams, and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace anchoring the living room, paired with the comforts you actually want on vacation.
The main floor holds two queen bedrooms, a full bath, a well equipped kitchen, and a dining table set in front of windows that frame the lake. Up the open staircase, a loft under the rafters sleeps four more in two queen beds, the kind of space kids claim on arrival and refuse to give up. Between the cottages, a furnished deck with a grill and a picnic table makes cooking outside easy, and the firepit down by the water is where the day ends, chairs pulled in close, stars overhead.
Walk out the door, cross the lawn, and you are on the dock. Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Dune Climb, and M22 are all just minutes away.
OUTDOORS: Big Glen Lake frontage with a new private dock, Grill, sandy shallow entry, firepit with Adirondack chairs at the water's edge, lakeside lawn, and a shared furnished deck.
INDOORS: Knotty pine and exposed beam living room with comfortable seating and cable TV with Roku, a dining table with lake views, and a loft sitting area
KITCHEN: Well equipped full kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker, cookware and dishware
PARKING: Free on site parking for 2 vehicles
Special Things to Note:
This cottage shares the waterfront lawn, dock, firepit, and deck with guests staying in the roadside cottage next door. Each cottage is fully private inside.
Washer and dryer are located in the lakeside basement and are available to guests of both cottages seasonally, through mid October.
The fireplace is decorative and is not available for use.
There is no air conditioning. The lake breeze and ceiling fans keep things comfortable.
For families traveling with infants, a pack-n-play or crib is available upon request for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Other Important Notes: Smoking is strictly prohibited (violations will result in incurring fees). Failure to return key upon check-out will result in a $200 replacement fee.
‼️Important Pet Policy: This is a strictly non-pet-friendly property. Pets are not permitted under any circumstances. Guests who bring an unauthorized pet onto the property will be charged a $250 fine.
