About this house rental
The beautifully cosy, single-storey Devon Hideaway is nestled in a hillside on a small private estate of just 14 properties. With a shared heated indoor swimming pool open 9am-9pm all year round, a fishing lake and garden this dog friendly cottage is a rare and peaceful escape for families or small groups.
Bedrooms and Bathroom: master with a king size bed, and one twin bedroom. A walk-in shower with toiletries provided. Bed linen and towels provided.
Open Plan Living Area & Kitchen:
- Smart TV, private entrance and heating throughout. Well equipped kitchen with an hob, oven, microwave, airfryer, fridge/ice box, dishwasher, kettle and toaster.
Outdoor Space:
- private enclosed garden with decking - perfect for morning coffee or evening meals outdoors, or stargazing. One designated parking space right by the cottage. The shared indoor swimming pool is a rare treat and along with the fishing lake is only for the private use of guests staying on the estate.
Good to Know:
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 10am. Children and 1 or 2 dogs are welcome. Please note that smoking is not permitted, and group bookings cannot be accommodated. The Black River Inn and The Half Moon Inn are both about 40 minutes' walk from the property, offering a friendly welcome and excellent food. A 10 minute walk will get you to Gotland Gin, a private distillery and bar on a nearby farm with regular events including live music. This tiny cottage is perfectly located to explore all that Devon and Cornwall have to offer, or simply relax and reset your tired soul deep in the peace of the countryside along with all the comforts of home.
