CHARMING VACATION HOME FOR UP TO 6 PEOPLE RIGHT ON THE ELBE, NEAR GLÜCKSTADT AND HAMBURG
The sunny HOLIDAY HOME ELBNEST (KOLL100), with a living area of approx. 105 m² spread over 2 floors, is located in a quiet, low-traffic residential area in the small village of Kollmar, directly behind the Elbe dike, 8 km south of Glückstadt.
Entrance on the first floor: hallway with coat rack. Spacious living room (approx. 40 m²) with a cozy seating area, dining area, and access to the terrace. Separate kitchen with built-in stove (4 ceramic burners, oven), microwave, refrigerator with large freezer compartment, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, raclette grill, and fondue set. Separate toilet. Wooden staircase from the hallway to the upper floor (gentle slope): Hallway with a hanging recliner and a reading nook. Large bedroom with a French bed (1.80 m wide) and a double sofa bed (1.40 m wide). Bedroom with 2 single beds and a pull-out bed. Large bathroom with tub, shower, toilet, and hair dryer. Use of washing machine and bike storage room available upon request. Gas central heating.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOWN AND SURROUNDINGS:
The vacation home is located in the tranquil town of Kollmar, directly behind the Elbe dike. It is only about 300 m to the sandy beach on the Elbe (which includes a dog beach and seasonal vacation restaurants); swimming in the Elbe is possible, but at your own risk. This is a great spot to watch container ships and cruise ships entering and leaving the Elbe en route to Hamburg. It’s an ideal location for long walks along the Elbe dike; bike paths start practically right outside the front door.
In the charming little town of Glückstadt, about 8 km away, there’s a wide selection of restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, bars, and a heated outdoor pool. North Sea beach in Cuxhaven (50 km via the Elbe ferry). Another beach near Friedrichskoog (65 km).
The vacation home’s location is ideal for one or more day trips to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, just 40 km away, featuring, among other things, musicals, the famous St. Pauli district with its “sinful” mile, and the large harbor—which is definitely worth seeing—with boat tours.
