Maybe today you’ll walk across the street for a surf lesson or head down to Charley Young for a beach day, then wander over to South Maui Gardens for lunch, or simply stay put and watch South Maui unfold from your front-row seat.
Renovated in 2024, this bright and thoughtfully updated 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo feels fresh, comfortable and welcoming from the moment you arrive. It comfortably sleeps up to five guests, with a king-size bed and twin bed in the bedroom and a queen-size Murphy bed in the living room for flexible sleeping space.
The comforts of home make it easy to settle in. A fully equipped kitchen makes meals at home simple. In-unit washer & dryer means you can pack lighter and refresh swimsuits and beach towels whenever you need. Fast Wi-Fi keeps you connected, and air conditioning gives you a cool, comfortable place to come home to after a full day under the Maui sun.

Step through the living room onto your private ocean-view lanai and you'll quickly understand why it's one of our guests' favorite parts of #224. Watch surfers at Cove Park or catch the changing colors of sunset over the ocean. Past guests have mentioned these same things again and again: the ocean views, Maui sunsets, surfers from the lanai, and the bright, comfortable feel of the condo.
STAY IN OR HEAD OUT
Some days you'll want to explore Maui from morning until sunset. Other days, everything you need for a great vacation day is already close to home. Swim in the ocean-view pool, unwind in the hot tub, play pickleball with the provided paddles, fire up the barbecue, or grab the provided beach chairs and gear and head toward the beach.
THE LOCATION
Shores of Maui sits in an exceptionally walkable pocket of South Kihei. Restaurants, cafés, shops, beaches, parks, and more are all close enough that you don't have to get in the car every time you want to do something.
Cove Beach Park is just across the street for a morning swim or some time by the ocean. It's also one of South Maui's favorite surfing spots and a popular home base for local surf schools, making it especially convenient whether you want to learn to surf, rent a board or simply watch the surfers from shore.
Charley Young Beach is a local favorite about a 6-minute walk away when you're ready for a longer beach day, with a broad stretch of sand for swimming, relaxing and keeping an eye out for sea turtles.
In the other direction, South Maui Gardens is just a 3-minute walk from the condo, with food trucks, dining, and entertainment practically around the corner. And when you do want to explore farther, on-site parking is free with no daily resort parking fee.

We had another amazing vacation in Maui. This condo is very clean, comfortable and close to everything. The beach is across the road with a great view of the ocean. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. The host answers any questions fast and is there to make your stay wonderful. I will be going back to this place again.

The condo was in a great location-across the street from Cove Park beach, centrally located walking distance to shops, dining & Kam beach 1&2.Kam beach 3 as well, just a longer walk. Only 30 minutes or so from the airport with grocery & drug stores on the way. Home was clean and well stocked w/amemities such as towels, laundry supplies & machines, kitchen items, beach toys, chairs, towels & umbrellas. AC & fans kept the jnit cool. Grills on site by pool. Pool water was a bit cloudy but we didn't use, preferring the beach. Rental management staff was super helpful- clearly communicated via text and always prompt to respond. We will definitely be back!!

We have stayed at The Shores of Maui several times and have enjoyed every unit we have stayed in. However, THIS unit is by far the nicest one we've stayed in. The unit has been recently remodeled and the care the owners put into the place are evident. There are high tech upgrades to the lighting, charging outlets in every room, beautiful wood cabinetry and flooring, and lovely and comfortable furnishings. Having 2 beds in the master bedroom made life easy! Our teenager slept on the twin bed and when we woke up early in the morning, she was able to continue to snooze away to her heart's content as she wasn't in the middle of the living room on a sofa bed like she usually is! This unit has 2 beds in the bedroom PLUS a cool wall bed in the living room. Although we didn't use the wall bed, we pulled it down to check it out. It was far more comfortable and easy to manage than any sofa bed! This is a really nice touch!The lanai was our favorite place to hang out in the early mornings and at sun set. The location of the unit is above a busy intersection, but this only added to the fantastic people watching we were able to do from the lanai! It was fun to try to pick out the residents from the tourists - it was pretty easy to do!!The location right across the street from Cove Park and Kanani Beach Park was perfect for watching all the surfers, paddle boarders and outrigger canoes!We 100% percent recommend this unit! It was the perfect place to stay!!

I have been staying at this property for many years as it is an ideal location to the restaurants, parks, beaches etc. I stayed at this unit many times but this is the first time since the complete remodel and the place is amazing now. All new flooring, appliances, kitchen and bathroom. Very well done. A great place and perfect location.
