Enjoy sweeping views of Grandfather Mountain, Beech Mountain, the Tennessee Blue Ridge, and colorful mountain skies from Marla on the Mountain. With windows to take in the mountain views visible from the living, dining, and kitchen areas, this comfortable upper-level condo makes the most of its beautiful setting.
The Scandinavian modern-rustic design combines a natural color palette with vaulted ceilings, wood accents, a stone fireplace, wool rugs, comfortable furnishings, and original artwork. The galley kitchen is well equipped with a gas range, Bosch dishwasher, granite countertops, and garbage disposal. The dining table is situated to take in the mountain views, and additional seating is available at the counter.
Marla on the Mountain features a primary king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower and double vanity, plus a second guest bedroom with a twin over queen bedroom, a swivel rocker and USB and AC charging ports. The second bathroom include a deep soaking tub. Each bathroom has heated floors, controlled via the ensuite bathroom.
When you're ready to explore, weekend shuttle service provides easy access to the area's ski slopes. Banner Elk's restaurants and nightlife are nearby, while Boone and Blowing Rock offer additional options for dining, shopping, arts, and outdoor activities.

• All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
• Firewood may be purchased with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax. Firewood payment is collected through the Airbnb Resolution Center.
• Check in is after 4pm
• Checkout by 10am
• Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
• No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
• Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
• No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable.
• 4WD/AWD and/or chains required during times of snow/ice for all homes on Sugar Mountain- it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. No refunds are given if you are not prepared for winter weather.
• Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions.
• Host is not responsible for items left in the home.
• Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
