About this house rental
Welcome to Memaw's! Five minutes from Lake Cumberland. Enjoy the nostalgia of staying at Grandma's house with plenty of space to spread out - 4,800 SQFT! Huge 1st & 2nd floor masters, jacuzzi tub and oversized driveway ideal for parking boats. Large, flat yard perfect for playing backyard games. Relaxing back deck for gathering and eating with picturesque sunset views anytime you're not on the water. Inside also boasts a large dedicated workspace and cozy den for winding down at night with a movie.
The space
For decades, Memaw's was the place our family gathered for reunions and holidays. Memaw went to be with Jesus, but we wanted to continue to share her space for other families and friends to enjoy.
There is a large, first-floor master with a king bed, oversized in-suite bathroom, large jacuzzi tub, antique furnishings for charm, but with the modern convenience of a flat screen.
Upstairs boasts: another oversized master with king bed and in-suite bath and flatscreen, two spare bedrooms (queen and full) with their own shared bath. We also have a couple cots in a closet for extra sleepers/kiddos.
A bright house with lots of natural light and plenty of quiet sitting areas for reading - the house is stocked with books. And we converted Memaw's china cabinet into a game nook. The formal dining room makes a great all-night card table!
The entire house is decorated in French Provential antique furniture and art, you can almost pretend you're stepping back in time to Downton Abbey or the Biltmore glory days.
The property is centrally located - close to several docks and marinas, Cumberland Falls, and only 5 minutes from the strip (great car shows and cruising in the Summer), and less than 10 mins from charming historic downtown Somerset, with great local restaurants.
A place for the entire family to stay, for short or long!
