Always a bit nervous booking a new no-review property, but this surpassed all expectations. Really excellent and high-quality restoration of a century old stone house tucked up and behind the vines of the family’s home so with privacy and incredible mountain views. There’s everything you need, including decent AC/heating unit, spacious and well equipped room and a proper kitchen (with a dining table and patio) in a separate stone building just outside the rooms. There’s just two rooms in the house, up and down, though having the upper room with the private balcony was really nice. 5 minute drive to the village shop, wild horses and sheep in the surrounds, and a countryside trail through the gate at the back of the property. For a green, beautiful and quiet Minho base, you can’t fault it. Just wish we could have stayed longer. There’s (currently) no WiFi; not a problem for me as happy to disconnect and strong 5G.
