Omoana Lodge Moorea

Our family of four had an absolutely exceptional stay at this beautiful property in Moorea! The views of Opunohu Bay and the surrounding mountains were breathtaking. We loved spending time on the deck, watching the rain move across the mountains, seeing rainbows appear, and taking in the incredible colors of the water. It was such a peaceful, beautiful place to relax and truly enjoy the magic of Moorea. We also absolutely loved the location, which made our stay even more special. One of the highlights of our trip was the incredible boat adventure with the owner, Teva, and his family. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience unforgettable. And, of course, we were so fortunate to have the property's resident "vacation dog" keeping us company! As if all of that weren't enough, on our very last morning, a humpback whale greeted us just offshore, right from the deck! It was a truly magical, unforgettable moment and the perfect way to end our stay. This place was so much more than just somewhere to stay. It became a special part of our family vacation, and we made memories here that we will treasure for years to come. We loved every minute of our time here and are already looking forward to returning. We cannot recommend this property highly enough! 🌈🐋🌴

We loved the rustic feel of the lodge - but some might not. Remeber it is a "local" house which is not resort. We enjoyed some ants, geckos, and wind through the open air windows. Again, we loved it - but others might not.

There’s is so much to love — a paradise on the water in Moorea! The Location & Views: Incredible views of the bay and spectacular mountains. It sits right on the water with a brand-new deck overlooking breathtaking scenery, and we loved being able to swim right from the property. Plus, you are right next door to the island's best boat tours—in fact, the host and his family run a boutique tour company with a gorgeous, brand-new boat! It is also directly across the bay from one of our favorite waterfront restaurants. The House is authentic, rustic Polynesian charm blended with modern upgrades and amenities. All the indoor and outdoor deck furniture is brand-new and comfortable, making it the perfect spot to sit back and take in the sweeping beauty of Moorea’s mountains and sea. We kept the windows and doors wide open the entire time to let the island breeze in. The Kitchen: Fully stocked with a large fridge/freezer, gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, and everything you need to cook. Enjoying meals and snacks out on the private deck under the shade of palm trees right over the water was unbeatable—we honestly didn't want to leave! The Host: Incredibly responsive, warm, and helpful. Having the host's family boutique tour business right next door is a fantastic bonus. On this trip, we mostly relaxed, took in the property, and had everything we could possibly need, but we are already looking forward to returning soon to explore even more. Very easy access to the main road for taxis if you decide not to rent a car, with plenty of secure gated parking if you do. And if you're lucky, you’ll get to meet the sweetest, most friendly, and well-behaved dog next door at the tour base. Highly recommended—a true 5-star stay!
