Pousada Abade

Pousada Abade is located a few kilometres out of Pedra Azul, but it is in a very small, quiet en relaxed litte town. The hosts, Manuel and Andrea are the most gentle, kind and considerate people, who did their utmost to make me feel welcome and cared for. Manuel took me everywhere on the back of his motorbike, showed me the old buildings in town, climbed up the 575 steps of the granite mountain, took me to the bus station to check schedules and waited with me until the bus arrived. Andrea cooked wonderful meals, all being served in the reception area of the hostel. She cleans the hostel every day, so everything is spotless. They own the grocery store next to the hostel, where food and basic things can be bought. I can truly recommend a stay at Pousada Abade, if you want to experience the hospitality of two exceptional people.
