Updated Eastsound Home with Stunning Mountain and Ocean Views

The views of the water from this property are truly amazing. Very clean, a bit dated with regards to furniture/furnishings but good mattresses and updated bathrooms. Follow VRBO directions as google maps does not take you to the correct location, could be a bit challenging to find if in the dark. Lovely place for vacation and perfect spot on the island.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The property was spacious, comfortable, and had a charming, cozy feel. Some of the furnishings and decor are a bit older, but they add to the character of the place. We also appreciated that a crib was provided, which was very helpful for families traveling with young children. Guests should be aware that there is NO air conditioning, and the house can get quite warm during hotter weather. One tip for future guests: be sure to follow the directions provided by the host in their email rather than relying solely on Google Maps, as the host's instructions were much more accurate and helpful for finding the property. The bathroom was very clean, and we appreciated the space the home provided for our group. While there were a few areas that could benefit from a deeper cleaning, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our time here.

This property has a stunning view- maybe worth some of the other frustrations. Maybe. It’s an older home and parts have been carefully cared for or updated but other areas have been sadly neglected. Also, we found the outlets in both bathrooms didn’t work meaning no way to dry and groom hair in front of a mirror. We called Vacasa, they said they would get back to us, but never did. A carbon monoxide alarm went off in the middle of one night. We located it and decided it was due to needing new batteries- we hoped. We slept with windows open and got little sleep. Changing batteries routinely seems like something a management company should be doing to prevent guests from having this experience. There were other minor problems with the property but not big enough to alter our experience. Sadly we have to say our experiences with Vacasa managing VRBO properties has been not good.
