The historic center of Acireale, about 4 km away, is worth a visit for its elegant Baroque heritage: in the heart of the city you’ll find Piazza Duomo, the Cathedral of Maria Santissima Annunziata, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and, not far away, the splendid Basilica of San Sebastiano. Also not to be missed is the Timpa Nature Reserve, one of the most distinctive natural landscapes along the Acireale coast.
