This newly remodeled basement studio in Portland is light-filled and designed in a Japandi style-clean lines, natural textures, and a calm, uncluttered feel. West facing windows frame views of Mount Hood, bringing in soft light and a sense of openness that's rare for a lower-level space. Heated floors keep things comfortable year-round, and the space is equipped with a washer/dryer, a small closet, a TV, and a kitchenette with an electric stovetop, toaster oven/air fryer, full-sized fridge and microwave. Note: The sleeping area features a sleeper sofa that easily converts into a full-size bed. It was selected for its consistently high comfort ratings across many independent sources.
Outside the studio, you'll have access to a greenhouse, and the kitchen overlooks a small chicken coop, adding a bit of everyday calm and connection to nature. A family of three, along with a dog and cat, live in the main house; he works in HR and she is a baker. We value hospitality and enjoy supporting our guests, while also fully respecting privacy and independence.
