Our flats are situated in a green neighbourhood in the town of Zalakaros. We guarantee you the peace and quiet in the most beautiful area of Zalakaros. Our houses are next to the Nordic walking paths. Our flats are equipped with air conditioning and WIFI. In the price we give our bicycles to our dear guests to use daily. We speak German. The flats are very comfortable, with furniture made of natural wood. The kitchen is very well and practically prepared quality and price go together with us. In our wine cellar we organise a wine tasting for our dear guests. In 2015 we have prepared a beautiful barbecue area with an extra kitchen. All our televisions are LCD. Here are our "EXTRAS" for you: Once during your holiday with us, there is an evening programme with wine tasting in the wine cellar, homemade white wine, barbecue party. On request you can get bicycles for the way to the beach. We love animals. The history of the Zalakaros Spa dates back to 1962. As a result of an exploratory drilling for carbon hydrogen, instead of oil, water at a temperature of 96o came out of a depth of more than 2000 metres. After chemically analysing the water, which revealed a mineral salt content of 1300 mg/l, and testing its healing effects, a thermal bath was built in 1965. The then open-air pool welcomed guests with a 332 m2 thermal pool and a 60 m2 children's pool. Three years later, a sports pool was added. An indoor pool with treatment rooms was opened in 1975, and in 1978 the spa was officially declared a spa by the Ministry of Health. Since then, the public limited company has been the sole owner of the medicinal water. Thanks to the continuous development of our spa, Zalakaros is now the sixth largest spa in Hungary in terms of visitor numbers. We have a long tradition and experience in offering our flats. For more than 20 years we have recognised many German and Austrian families, so we have many regular guests who come back to us almost like our relatives. It makes for us besides the income a lot of foreign personal contact ! If I can help in summer with our dear guests, it makes me a "summer academy for the German language. Zalakaros could also be called "the green town". The spa town lies in the middle of the Zala hills, just a few kilometres from the Little Balaton nature reserve. The hilly landscape around the town offers beautiful walking and hiking trails, cycle paths, and you can also visit the wine cellars on the vineyard. You can walk or cycle to the lookout tower, to the vineyards of Zalakaros, or simply walk or cycle in the beautiful parks and streets of the town. But if you are too lazy or tired, take the Dotto small train. The best way to cycle is on the cycle path to the neighbouring villages of Galambok or Garabonc, or to the Little Balaton (day trip) or simply for a ride around the town.
