About this bed and breakfast
Set on five peaceful acres, The Butte House is a remarkable mid-century property designed by renowned architect Paul László. Staying here offers something a little different from an ordinary hotel—a chance to experience a piece of Prineville history while enjoying your own private space.
The Pioneer Room features one bedroom, a private bathroom, and its own private exterior entrance, making it ideal for solo travelers, couples, business travelers, or anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable Central Oregon stay. In-room conveniences include a mini refrigerator, microwave, and single-serve coffee maker.
Check-in is completely contactless, allowing you to arrive and settle in at your own pace. You'll have your own guest entrance and do not need to enter the main residence during your stay.
Outside, you'll be surrounded by the character and peaceful setting of the historic five-acre estate. The Butte House is an older property that we are actively preserving and bringing back to life, so you'll find plenty of original character—and occasionally a few of the charming quirks that come along with it.
We're conveniently located in Prineville, Oregon, with easy access to town and all that Central Oregon has to offer.
Whether you're passing through, visiting family, exploring Central Oregon, or simply want to stay somewhere with a story, The Pioneer Room offers a simple, private and truly unique place to call home for the night.
