About this house rental
Stay here and you can also rent the Kia Sorento SUV parked right on the property — collect it on-site for $45/day and set your own schedule exploring Kigali, no separate rental counter to deal with. It's a combination we haven't found matched by comparable 2BR gated rentals in this part of the city: your home base and your own set of wheels, in the same place.
Security is handled plainly, not oversold. The duplex sits inside a gated compound with an onsite guard and housekeeper, security cameras, and free parking on premise. It's currently the only standalone house on this quiet side road, with gated 2-story houses at the back and side.
Upstairs, each of the two bedrooms has its own balcony with hill views — a good spot for morning coffee or for winding down after a day out in the city
The stay:
The duplex sleeps up to 4 across 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a private shower — a comfortable fit for two couples, a small family, or friends who each want their own space. Downstairs is a bright living and dining area and a full kitchen with a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, and blender, plus front and backdoor porches. Upstairs, both bedrooms open onto the hill-view balconies mentioned above.
Amenities on hand: air conditioning, fast WiFi, a 50" 4K TV, a washing machine, free secure parking on premise, an onsite guard and housekeeper, security cameras, and self check-in.
The SUV rental, in detail:
The Kia Sorento is an add-on, not included in the base nightly rate, at $45/day (weekly and monthly discounts negotiable). It's handed over with a full tank and must be returned full. A $100 damage deposit covers tires, windscreen, and underbody damage — it's held via mobile money (MTN/Airtel) and released after a return inspection finds no damage. Insurance is included in the daily rate and caps guest liability at $300 for damage; tires, windscreen chips or cracks, and underbody damage are excluded from that cover.

The house sits on a quiet side road on the Kagugu/Gacuriro border in Kigali. Sawa City Kagugu and Simba Gacuriro supermarkets are both a few minutes' drive away.

- Nightly rate: ~$69 for the duplex (SUV rental billed separately at $45/day)
- Self check-in: 12:00 PM–7:00 PM, flexible with prior notice
- Check-out: 12:00 PM at the latest
