Little Owl House – Cosy Swedish Holiday Home with Hot Tub in Småland
Welcome to the Little Owl House – a cosy red Swedish cottage near Åseda in the heart of Småland. Set in an almost secluded location where forests meet open meadows, the house is a wonderful retreat for families, couples and friends looking for peace, nature and an authentic Swedish countryside experience. Your closest neighbours here are mainly a small flock of friendly sheep.
The approximately 100 m² holiday home was renovated in 2020 and accommodates up to six guests in three separate bedrooms. The house has one bathroom with shower and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.
The cosy living area features a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially on cooler days. Firewood is provided during your stay. A TV with German channels and fast fibre-optic internet combine traditional Swedish cottage life with modern comfort.
The well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for convenient self-catering. In addition to the usual kitchen equipment, there is a traditional coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. A washing machine is also available.
One of the highlights of the Little Owl House awaits outside: the wood-fired hot tub in the garden. After a day exploring the surrounding countryside, you can relax in the warm water and, on clear evenings, enjoy the starry skies above Småland.
The house stands on an exceptionally spacious, approximately 6,000 m² fenced property. Forests, meadows and plenty of open space create a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Children have lots of room to play and can enjoy the trampoline and swing. A covered terrace allows you to sit outside even when the Swedish weather is changeable. Garden furniture and an electric barbecue are also available.
Nature begins right behind the house. Depending on the season, you can pick berries, search for mushrooms in the forest, go for walks or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. This close connection to nature is what gives the Little Owl House its special character.
The location near Åseda in Småland also offers plenty of opportunities for excursions. The region is characterised by extensive forests, lakes and small villages and is ideal for hiking, cycling and exploring nature. Several lakes and swimming areas can be found around Åseda and are perfect for warm summer days.
Another interesting destination is the famous Kingdom of Crystal (Glasriket), known for its traditional glassworks and small workshops. Växjö is also suitable for a day trip. Families can plan a longer excursion to Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren’s World, where the stories of Pippi Longstocking, Emil of Lönneberga and other famous Astrid Lindgren characters come to life.
The Little Owl House is a non-smoking property and pets are not permitted. Bed linen and towels are included, as are final cleaning and firewood. Electricity is charged according to actual consumption. A security deposit of €250 is required.
