About this apartment rental
The spacious living room invites you to relax with a cozy sitting area and a TV. The original historic wide-plank floors lend the room a warm and distinctive atmosphere. When accommodating three or four guests, two bunk beds—each measuring 80 × 200 cm—can be set up here as additional sleeping spaces.
The separate bedroom features a comfortable French upholstered bed with a sleeping surface measuring 140 × 200 cm. High-quality solid wood parquet flooring in the bedroom and hallway creates a pleasant living environment.
The custom-designed kitchen is a truly unique feature. An old sideboard was carefully restored and transformed into an extraordinary kitchen element with a countertop and an integrated, high-quality induction cooktop. The extensive amenities also include a modern multifunction oven with numerous programs, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a microwave. A KitchenAid stand mixer is always available for cooking and baking enthusiasts.
For making coffee, guests can choose between a classic coffee maker and a Senseo coffee pod machine. Coffee, coffee filters, coffee pods, and tea are provided free of charge. A handy basic supply of oil, salt, pepper, and sugar is also included in the price.
The dining area offers space for shared meals. From the kitchen, you have direct access to the furnished balcony overlooking the historic courtyard of the mill estate—a lovely spot for breakfast or a relaxing end to the day.
The modern bathroom features wood-look tile and has a spacious walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and handheld shower, as well as a convenient seat. A towel warmer, a sink with a vanity cabinet, and a toilet round out the amenities. We provide towels, which are included in the room rate.
Should you have forgotten anything, we can also provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other small daily necessities upon request.
The Mühlradblick Deluxe vacation apartment combines spacious living, personalized and high-quality amenities, and the distinctive character of a historic mill building. It’s ideal for couples, families, friends, and business travelers looking for unique accommodations with plenty of space and atmosphere.
Welcome to the Mühlradblick vacation apartments in Fritzlar-Geismar—a place to stay steeped in history and special charm.
Our historic, listed mill estate combines the atmosphere of a historic home with the comfort of individually furnished vacation apartments. Built in 1859, this stately manor-style mill building still tells the story of its long history today: sandstone details, historic doors, and numerous preserved architectural elements define its unmistakable character. In parts of the vacation apartments, high ceilings enhance the feeling of spaciousness.
Since taking over the property in 2013, we have extensively renovated the building with great personal dedication and developed it step by step. It was particularly important to us to preserve historical elements and combine them with contemporary living comfort. The result is a place where our guests feel welcome and can experience the special atmosphere of the mill house.
Whether it’s a getaway for two, a family vacation, time spent with friends, or a business trip with colleagues: our vacation apartments accommodate a variety of travel groups.
Mühlradblick First offers two separate bedrooms for up to four people across 107 m². A private, covered wooden porch with a view of the courtyard and the surrounding greenery complements the spacious living areas.
Mühlradblick Deluxe offers approximately 80 m² of space for two people in a separate bedroom. Two additional sleeping spots in the living room allow for a total occupancy of up to four guests. The custom-designed kitchen, historic wooden floors, and private balcony give the apartment its unique character.
Mühlradblick Loft is our largest vacation apartment and accommodates up to nine people under one roof. It offers plenty of space for spending time together with family, friends, or colleagues.
For larger groups, depending on availability, multiple apartments in the building can be booked together. You’ll find the exact amenities and sleeping arrangements in the respective apartment descriptions.
You’re also welcome to bring your dog: Only in the Mühlradblick First vacation rental is it possible to bring a dog, subject to prior arrangement. Dogs are not permitted in the other vacation rentals.
The mill tradition remains alive today: The waterwheel generates electricity that is used on-site. The building is heated with pellets. This is how we combine the history of the estate with a modern use.
The unique island location on the Hessian Elbe and the mature trees characterize the surroundings of our house. Thanks to the direct connection to the R4 bike path, you can set out on bike tours from here. We provide rental bikes free of charge, subject to availability. The historic old town of Fritzlar, Lake Eder, and the North Hessian countryside also invite you to take excursions and explore.
We personally welcome our guests and are available to answer questions and offer tips. If you’d like, you can also meet our tame goats during a short guided tour of the property—a special experience for guests of all ages.
Please note: Due to the historic architecture, there are stairs and different living levels in and around the building. You’ll find specific access information in the description of your chosen vacation rental.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Mühlradblick vacation rentals.
Check-in is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and check-out is from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
