Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the cottage provides a peaceful base from which to explore the dramatic mountains, tranquil valleys and picturesque villages of South Wales. Spend your days discovering scenic walking trails, including the iconic Pen y Fan (23 miles) and nearby Cribarth, known locally as the Sleeping Giant (6 miles). For a change of pace, wander the stunning Gower coastline and enjoy the seaside atmosphere of The Mumbles (20 miles). Explore the nearby town of Ystradgynlais, where you will find some lovely riverside cafes, restaurants and takeaways for convenience. Closer to home, enjoy leisurely strolls around the village pond, cosy evenings in welcoming local pubs, or simply unwind and soak up the surrounding countryside. Explore nearby attractions including Craig-y-Nos Country Park, the spectacular waterfalls at Glynneath, and the historic Carreg Cennen Castle. A village shop can be found just 500 yds away.


Sitting on the southern fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this wonderful, traditional stone cottage offers a peaceful countryside retreat, perfect for couples seeking a relaxing escape. Accessed via a few steps to the front entrance, the cottage opens into a cosy lounge where comfortable seating is arranged around a welcoming wood burner. Whether you're returning from a day in the hills or enjoying a quiet evening indoors, this inviting space offers the perfect place to unwind, complete with a Smart TV for entertainment. Leading from the lounge is a compact yet well-equipped kitchen, thoughtfully designed with everything you may need during your stay. A dining table and chairs sit alongside, creating a comfortable setting for leisurely breakfasts or intimate evening meals. Just off the kitchen is a convenient shower room featuring a walk-in shower. Upstairs, you'll find two charming bedrooms comprising a double room with TV and views to the front and a cosy single room overlooking the rear of the property. The first floor also features a family bathroom with a beautiful traditional freestanding wooden bathtub and WC, offering a unique space to relax and soak after a day of exploring.


Outside, the cottage benefits from a garden area to the front, complete with a table and chairs for al fresco dining or morning coffee in the fresh country air. Roadside parking is available nearby, subject to availability. We also have a local indoor swimming pool and sauna, plus a gym in the nearby sports centre . Dan yr Ogof caves are just a 6 mile drive away, and a Monkey sanctuary in nearby Coelbren, not forgetting Gnoll park in Neath.
