About this cottage rental
Set in the picturesque village of Cheddar, this homely property is brimming with character and is thoughtfully designed for a family of four or two couples, offering a welcoming home-from-home atmosphere and lovely enclosed garden. Cheddar has an abundance of pubs, cafes and restaurants, all within easy walking distance and open year-round to suit every taste. Just 0.5 miles away, explore the fantastic Cheddar Gorge and Caves, climb Jacob’s Ladder for stunning cliff-top views or head through the prehistoric caves. Outdoor enthusiasts can visit Cheddar Reservoir, 2 miles away, with access to the Strawberry Line, a popular walking and cycling route along a former railway track. Further afield, visit the underground wonders of Wookey Hole Caves (6.5 miles), explore Wells (9 miles), England’s smallest city or head to historic Glastonbury (14 miles) and climb Glastonbury Tor for breathtaking panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.
Leave your shoes and coats in the porch and step into the modern fully equipped kitchen where you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Two steps down to a cosy dining area with views across the garden, providing a pleasant spot for eating together, while the lovely lounge has a feature inglenook fireplace that houses a wood burner, and has plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing evenings in. Finishing up the ground floor is the walk in shower room with a WC. As the day draws to a close and you are ready to sleep, climb upstairs where there are two bedrooms, a king-size room featuring a comfortable Emma mattress and a double bedroom, both thoughtfully equipped with a choice of pillows to suit individual preferences. Completing the accommodation is a convenient upstairs WC.
Outside, an enclosed garden bordered by several mature shrubs and plants, with a patio area that contains garden furniture – great for al fresco dining and morning coffees. Private parking is provided for two cars on a gated driveway.
