About this cottage rental
This detached riverside house sits within 75 acres near Bala, with a wildlife lake, woodland walks, river fishing, a private garden, and a hot tub. The mountain and countryside views provide a peaceful backdrop for extended families or groups celebrating together. Bala is just 1.5 miles away and is home to the Bala Adventure and Watersports Centre, where you can try canoeing, kayaking, sailing, climbing, archery, mountain biking, and white-water rafting. Dolgellau is within 18 miles and makes a good starting point for exploring Snowdonia and the coast. This is also a great place for keen cyclists to join the Mawddach Trail and follow the estuary towards the seaside town of Barmouth. Further afield, visit the spectacular waterfall of Swallow Falls (27 miles) and enjoy a picnic by the cascades.
Arrive through the gated entrance and down the sweeping drive to your gorgeous holiday home. The whole property has been designed to be spacious and flooded with natural light, which is apparent from the second you step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This pared-back social space is a great spot to relax, with neutral tones, long sofas, and a Smart TV for evening films. The kitchen is perfect for budding chefs, with high-spec appliances, while an adjacent refectory dining table is ideal for light lunches or formal dinners.
