About this cottage rental
Offering snug, tastefully presented accommodation for up to two guests, this sympathetically updated retreat makes a charming, airy and relaxing base for walkers, history lovers and nature spotters keen to explore a stunning part of the atmospheric Lancashire countryside. The property enjoys peaceful riverside views and sits in an ideal spot close to the heart of Ribchester, a picturesque village with a long history. With a choice of cafes and pubs, the village is also home to the Ribchester Roman Museum, the Roman Baths and Stydd Gardens. Heading north, the Forest of Bowland (2 miles) offers miles of stunning walking trails, with landmarks including Jeffrey Hill, Longridge Fell, the Whitewell Stepping Stones and Bowland Wild Boar Park, all within 10 miles. The traditional town of Clitheroe is to the east (11 miles), with other local highlights including Whalley Abbey, Samlesbury Hall and Mrs Dowsons Farm Park all within 8 miles.
Entering this delightful cottage you will be greeted by a thoughtfully updated kitchen with wooden beams, sleek worktops and plenty of equipment for preparing your favourite dishes. Heading through, the snug and inviting lounge/diner is a lovely space to snuggle up and unwind in after a great day out, with characterful timber framing, a Smart TV, plenty of comfortable seating, and a gas fire set in an original stone surround. A sweet dining table is over to one side, perfect for enjoying a romantic meal together. Heading upstairs you will find the beautiful bedroom set beneath a high vaulted ceiling with an impressive king post beam. Decorated in warm, relaxing shades, the bedroom features a cosy double bed and ample storage space. The first floor also houses a light and spacious bathroom.
Heading outside, the pretty garden is fully enclosed, featuring a vast array of delightful flowers, with a choice of two patios with ample outdoor furniture, perfect for a morning coffee or al fresco meal. Parking can be found along the street.
