About this cottage rental

Perched above Trebarwith Strand, this stone-built cottage is an inviting base for friends and family keen to experience Cornwall’s wild coastline, captivating history and spectacular beaches. A 0.5-mile walk through the fields opposite the cottage leads down to Trebarwith Strand, where golden sands offer an idyllic setting for a day by the sea. The South West Coast Path can also be joined nearby. Just 1 mile away, the legendary village of Tintagel is a must-visit, with its striking clifftop castle ruins and connections to the tales of King Arthur. Further along the shore, Port Isaac (7 miles) is instantly recognisable as the filming location for Doc Martin and is a delightful place to explore, with its harbour, narrow streets and places to eat. For a change of scene, spend the day discovering Rock (13.5 miles) or Polzeath (11.5 miles), while food lovers can make the trip to Padstow, 20 miles from home.

Inside, the comfortable lounge has two sofas, beanbags and a wood burner for cosy evenings, along with a Smart TV. Double doors open onto the front garden, drawing in natural light and framing sweeping views across the countryside. A separate dining room seats six and is conveniently located beside the kitchen, with a serving hatch and a generous window that give it an airy, practical feel. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for a self-catering stay, making family mealtimes straightforward. Upstairs, three bedrooms share a family bathroom. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a wash basin, with far-reaching views across the fields. The second bedroom has two standard single beds and a freestanding wardrobe, along with a rural outlook. The compact third bedroom is suited to children, with two single beds, sloping eaves and views towards the rear yard. The family bathroom has both a bath and a separate electric shower, with a broad window bringing in plenty of daylight.

Outside, the enclosed south-east-facing front garden offers a sunny, secure space for younger children. The lawn is furnished with a bench, two sun loungers and an outdoor table and chairs, creating an appealing spot for morning coffee while enjoying the open fields. A gate connects directly to the driveway. Alongside the cottage, a passage leads to a partially decked rear yard, useful for storing surfboards and other outdoor equipment. Parking is available for one small to medium-sized car.
