About this cottage rental
This five-bedroom reverse-level retreat overlooks Carbis Bay on the West Cornwall coast, with open sea views across white sand and azure water. The bedrooms spread across multiple levels make it a strong fit for families or groups on a beach holiday, with Carbis Bay Beach 500 metres away. The bay is sheltered, with calm, flat water and gently lapping waves – well suited to swimming, and a marked contrast to the livelier surf breaks further along the coast. The coast path connects the property to St Ives along the shore, passing Hawkes Point (0.5 miles) and Porthminster Beach (1.5 miles) on the way. St Ives Harbour is 1.5 miles away, with its art galleries and independent shops. Porthmeor Beach is 2 miles along the coast, and Porthkidney Beach lies 1.5 miles in the opposite direction.
This is a split-level property with the main living space on the upper floor. An open-plan sitting room has a vaulted ceiling and sea views, with a six-seat corner sofa facing the water. Beyond it, the dining area seats 12 at a wooden table beside floor-to-ceiling glass doors overlooking the garden. The kitchen leads through to a balcony via bi-fold doors. A spiral staircase from the living space leads to a mezzanine bedroom on the second floor, fully enclosed with glazing and not open to the room below. It has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. On the ground floor, a snug provides a Smart TV, seating, and doors to both the rear garden and a garage with a ping pong table. A small balcony at the rear of the property has steps leading down to a large private lawned garden. The garden has an outdoor table and chairs seating ten, a parasol, sun loungers, a garden bench, and a BBQ. Private parking is provided for up to three cars on the driveway.
