About this house rental

Escape to Rhayader, the ‘outdoors capital of Wales’, and stay just 3.5 miles away in this fabulous countryside annexe, which accommodates up to four guests. Situated in the heart of Mid Wales, Rhayader acts as the gateway to the Elan and Claerwen Valleys, offering endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. It is the first town on the River Wye, promising an abundance of riverside walks and wildlife trails. The Elan Valley is renowned for its exceptional reservoirs and towering dams – set off to explore them, starting at Claerwen Reservoir (11.5 miles) and making your way towards the dramatic Craig Goch Dam (11 miles). Discover rolling hills and sprawling valleys at Gilfach Nature Reserve (7.5 miles) and Abergwesyn Common (16.5 miles), before heading down to the traditional Welsh market town of Builth Wells (10.5 miles) for some well-earned refreshments in its local pubs and quality eateries.

Boasting large windows that flood the space with natural light and frame the surrounding views, this rural holiday home is appealing from the moment you step inside. The bijou retreat is compact yet comfortable, with plenty of space for three guests to relax. Enter the property and find the kitchen immediately on your left, complete with quality appliances for rustling up delicious meals. Adjacent to it, the bathroom is freshly tiled, bright and modern. The open-plan living and dining area has been thoughtfully designed to maximise the available space, featuring a wall-mounted Smart TV and a comfortable sofa set opposite. Meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast-bar-style seating area overlooking the patio. The first of two double bedrooms is located on this floor, just off the main living area, while the second is set above in a mezzanine-style layout, complete with a large skylight offering far-reaching countryside views.

At the front of the property, a pretty patio and garden area provide plenty of space to unwind on sunny days. A bistro set offers the perfect spot for a morning coffee, the lawn provides space for sunbathing and stargazing under the dark skies. A table and bench provided is ideal for alfresco dining. Accessed via the car park, discover a sauna shared by neighbouring properties, available for use between 10am and 8pm. Private parking for two cars is also available.
