Oceanfront 1BR on Waikīkī's Gold Coast with Diamond Head views

A 664 square foot one bedroom on Waikīkī's Gold Coast, the last oceanfront blocks before Diamond Head, where the hotel towers stop and the neighborhood begins. The family calls it Gipsy Palace, after our grandmother, whose home it was for many years. We have kept the feel of it: personal, comfortable and unfussy. Warm tile, white linen and simple mid century wood.

THE SPACE
Set up for longer visits rather than quick ones. An updated full kitchen with quartz counters and an electric stove and oven, a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin day bed in the living room, an updated bath, WiFi, and a fold out work desk in the bedroom closet. Laundry is in the building, operated by app or card. The covered lānai is where most of the day happens, with the ocean in one direction and Diamond Head in the other. The building sits directly on the water, with private access to the ocean below and a shared oceanfront lānai.

THE LOCATION
The Gold Coast is the quiet end of Waikīkī, a short stretch of oceanfront between Kapiʻolani Park and the foot of Diamond Head. Kaimana Beach, a local favorite, is a seven minute walk. The Waikīkī Aquarium and the park are closer. The restaurants and shops of Waikīkī are about fifteen minutes on foot, near enough to walk to dinner and far enough to sleep to the sound of the water. A bus stop is directly in front of the building, and one designated parking stall comes with the condo.

GOOD TO KNOW
Stays are 30 nights or longer. Maximum 3 guests. No smoking, no pets, no parties. Quiet hours are 9pm to 9am. Check in from 3pm by smart lock, check out by 11am. Starter supplies are provided: coffee pods, soap, shampoo and conditioner, sponges and cleaning basics. There is an Alexa smart display in the living room, which you are welcome to unplug. This is a privately owned home rather than a professionally managed rental, and we are reachable by phone, text or email throughout your stay.
