Enter the home on the main level, where you'll find the kitchen, living room, and two full bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower. One queen bedroom is located at the end of a short hallway, with one of the full bathrooms located in the hallway just outside the bedroom. The other full bathroom is located off the main living area, next to the office area, which includes a twin-size pullout bed. There is no television in the main-level living room. The stairs to the lower level are immediately to the right when entering through the main entrance.
The lower level offers two additional queen bedrooms, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a second living and recreation area. This living room includes a queen-size pullout sofa, television, and pool table. Just off the living room is a small kitchenette area with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and small dining table with chairs. The lower level also provides direct access to the patio.
The home comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests with three queen bedrooms featuring Saatva mattresses, a queen-size pullout sofa in the lower-level living room, and a twin-size pullout bed in the main-level office area. There are three full bathrooms, all with walk-in showers and no bathtubs. The primary bathroom features a double vanity and an extra-large shower with two shower heads.
Outside, the patio features a propane grill and four Adirondack chairs. The fire pit has seating for eight, with two additional chairs located by the dock for enjoying the waterfront.
The property sits directly on beautiful Patten Pond with a private dock. From June 1 through October 1, guests are welcome to use the provided kayaks and canoe. Paddles for the watercraft and five life jackets are located in the shed near the dock. Per Maine law, approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) must be worn while using the watercraft.
The home has safe drinking water, and the refrigerator also features a filtered water and ice dispenser.
Located approximately 20 minutes from Ellsworth, 35 minutes from Acadia National Park, and 40 minutes from Bar Harbor, Patten Pond Retreat is an ideal home base for exploring Downeast Maine while returning each evening to a quiet waterfront setting.
