About this house rental

A historic 17th-century manor, available to rent in full with its 3 apartments and 5 large bedrooms, on a family estate in the heart of the Normandy countryside. The place has a real history. It was once the Invalides infirmary in the time of Marshal de Bellefonds, who lived on the property. The plans are by Mansart, the architect of Versailles, to whom we owe in particular the chapel adjoining the building. You sleep in a piece of French heritage.

Here, you are far from everything. A long one-kilometre drive from the road leads up to the manor. It is a true guarantee of calm and privacy, you are at home, set apart. All around, the park, the silence, the birds, the nature. The manor welcomes family or a group of friends with room for everyone. Several extra single beds are available, two of which convert into double beds, at a supplement according to your needs. You have a private garden and terrace for meals outdoors and quiet evenings. A large space adjoining the building can also be used, at a supplement, for your gatherings or events.

The D-Day landing beaches are 15 minutes away. Sainte-Mère-Église is 5 minutes away for your shopping, with delivery available from Super U. A unique place in Normandy, in the heart of the Cotentin Regional Nature Park.

Every winter, the marshes fill with water and turn white. The estate then finds itself surrounded, like an island set in the middle of the landscape. That is where its name comes from, l'Isle Marie. A rare sight, that few places can offer. Despite the calm and seclusion, you stay connected. The estate has high-speed fibre-optic internet and Starlink. Enough to work remotely or stay reachable, without losing any of the silence of the place.
