About this house rental

Hidden Creek Cabin is built for the family that wants to be in the trees and connect with one another— two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and space for 6 under the forest canopy of Camp Nelson.

INSIDE SPACE

The cabin offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and an open living space where the day comes back together — dinner at the table, a movie on the TV, board games after dark. The cabin is around 1,000 SF. The forest is present through every window; you don't have to go outside to feel where you are.

KITCHEN + DINING

The full kitchen is equipped for actual cooking — plan your meals before the drive up, stock up in Springville or Porterville on your way in, and let dinner become the evening's event. Mornings start with drip coffee and forest light peeking through the trees. There is no dishwasher at this property. Appliances include a refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave.

BEDROOMS

Four beds across two bedrooms — a setup that works equally well for a family with kids or two couples:

Bedroom 1 — California King bed upstairs with an ensuite bathroom and work station.
Bedroom 2 — Queen bed plus a bunk bed the kids will claim before the bags are unpacked.

BATHROOMS

Two full bathrooms — no morning bottleneck — both stocked with towels, toiletries, and the essentials for the length of your stay.

WORKSPACE

A dedicated workspace with reliable WiFi means you can take the Monday call from the forest and nobody on the other end needs to know. Spectrum High Speed Internet has you covered.

OUTSIDE SPACE

Step outside into the trees. The deck overlooks a seasonal creek (does not flow year round, mostly in winter months) and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal from the propane BBQ grill at the picnic table or relax in the classic adirondack chairs. Deer move through this part of the forest at dawn and dusk — coffee on the porch is the best show in town. The propane fire pit on the deck is also a must for stores in the evenings. Even the property across the street has horses for the kids to see!

WHERE YOU ARE

Camp Nelson is the quiet gateway to the southern Sierra — the Trail of 100 Giants and the sequoia groves of the Giant Sequoia National Monument are up Highway 190, with Belknap Grove, Balch Park, and Sequoia Crest's ancient groves all within a day's reach. Down the hill, you can explore Lower Coffee Camp which is a guest favorite for enjoying a swim in the Tule River.

Guests have access to the entire property! Owner's closet inside is locked as well as the shed, and those are off limits.

We are here to assist with anything you need during your stay! Please message us directly in the app and we will respond right away.
