Cuit's View is named after it's rich heritage, because it is where George Cuit stood to sketch famous explorer Captain Cook's parent's home in the 18th century.

There are local pubs and cafes, such as The Poorhouse and The Velveteen Rabbit, just a short walk from the property where you can enjoy delicious meals and drinks during your stay.



Walkers will love the popular spots nearby such as Roseberry Topping which is a short 10 minute drive away. The views from the top of here are simply breath taking on a clear day.



Getting Around:

Great Ayton is an excellent base for walking and cycling, with easy access to the North York Moors, Roseberry Topping, and numerous countryside trails. Many attractions are within walking distance of the village centre.



The village is easily accessible by road via the A173 and B1292, with connections to the A19 and A1(M). Visitors travelling by car can take advantage of local parking facilities in the village centre.



Great Ayton has its own railway station on the Esk Valley Line, providing regular services between Middlesbrough and Whitby. The station offers step-free access and connects travellers to wider rail networks through Middlesbrough.



Several local bus services operate through Great Ayton, linking the village with nearby towns including Middlesbrough, Stokesley, Guisborough, and surrounding communities.
