The Linhay in Cotleigh, East Devon, can sleep four guests in the two bedrooms

The Linhay consists of an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining area and adjoining sitting area with an electric fire, Smart TV, and patio doors leading onto the decked terrace. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Air conditioning units throughout the property provide both heating and cooling. The bedrooms consist of a double bedroom and a single bedroom with an optional pull-out truckle bed (please advise at the time of booking if the truckle bed is required), serviced by a shower room with a walk-in shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with lawns and a wooden decked terrace with outdoor furniture, along with off-road parking for two cars. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Guests can find a shop and pub within 2 miles, while the market town of Honiton is also just 2 miles away. Ideally placed for exploring East Devon, The Linhay is within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast, the picturesque fishing village of Beer, the seaside town of Sidmouth and the renowned fossil-hunting beaches at Charmouth. Note: If you wish the truckle bed to be made up, please let us know prior to your arrival. Note: As the property is situated on a working farm, and in line with the Countryside Code, dogs should be kept under close control on local footpaths and around the farm where livestock and farm animals may be present. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am.

Town: Honiton is a delightful market town in East Devon, with plenty to offer visitors. It lies in the valley of the River Otter and is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and plenty of scattered farming villages. Honiton has an attractive High Street stretching almost 2 miles, and lined with individually owned shops, pubs and restaurants. Honiton has been famous for lacemaking since the reign of Elizabeth I and still has a few lacemakers in work today - visitors can see some fine examples of antique lace in the town’s Allhallows Museum. Honiton boasts the only public art gallery in East Devon; the Thelma Hulbert Gallery occupies an attractive Grade I listed Victorian house, and has links with the Hayward Gallery, London. Honiton is only a short drive from the dramatic 20 mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. Resorts such as Seaton, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth are found along this stretch of coastline, and all have much to occupy the visitor. Near to Honiton is the cathedral city of Exeter with plenty of large shops, a wealth of museums, a theatre and fabulous restaurants.
