Premium 3 beds Apartment in Luxury Gated Villa in Shourouk City

We initially stayed in this apartment then had to extend our stay until finding something else. We liked that the bedrooms were well furnished, the kitchen was spacious and there were three bathrooms. The windows also had double glass which minimised the outer noise to a good extent, however, they weren’t clean during the whole time of our stay so we couldn’t open them.

Some aspects of the finishing were not good such as the main door and the paint which was cracked in some parts of the walls and kept dropping white powder on the floor and on anything placed against the wall. The surrounding of the property is not good including the street and the basement. Our dog ran once down the basement and we had to follow him, it was all rubbish down there and we felt it’s unsafe having such an abandoned basement especially without a locked gate or a guard. We also had a problem with garbage collection which was not frequent and with the dirt in the street. We then moved in a gated community where there’re at least standards for garbage removal and street cleanliness.

The apartment is a good size for a family, has new furniture and comfortable mattresses. The host was responsive when we checked in and found no kitchenware or utensils he ordered some, when we asked for a clothes rack and for garbage removal, and when we needed a plumber to fix the sprayers in the toilets. However, all of the issues could have not existed if they were checked before guests check-in or were done regularly in between guests.

The apartment is one of three in the ground floor of an unfinished villa, so when we self-checked in we found no guard, no gate security code and the building had steel rods on top of the first floor and bricks and sand inside on both sides of the gate so we thought we came to the wrong place. There was no regular garbage collection, instead it was left until the bin was overfilled and smelled bad with flies and sometimes cats messing with it at night. Also, many of the facilities and amenities mentioned in the description don’t exist. I think the person who listed the property just ticked all the boxes without caring what really exists. For example no toaster, coffee machine or tumble dryer in the kitchen, nothing for kids or pets as mentioned, no gaming consoles or any other electronics, and no bath tub or any sort of bath in the property, it only has showers on the floor with no proper shower cabinet or bath tub, so you spend 10 mins extra trying to drain the water when you finish to leave the bathroom in a usable condition. The street was another issue, as it’s neglected and unclean and there’s not even a door mat so you carry all the dirt inside. Honestly it’s just OK or basic apartment, not premium or luxurious, apart from the external surroundings which were really bad.
