About this house rental
This vacation rental is part of a historic estate—a First Empire-style château set amid 7 hectares of gardens and ancient woods. The rental has its own unique character, featuring artifacts and artwork tied to the property’s history and French culture.
Each bedroom features a spacious en-suite bathroom, with built-in shelves in the large shower stalls. The furnishings blend new pieces, vintage items, and antiques sourced from flea markets in the South of France. The Ressource wall paints, chosen for their historic hues, give each room its own unique character.
The estate is home to a medieval fountain (under curent renovation) said to have healing properties and the site of ancient Roman baths. The gardens open directly onto the grounds and one of the domain fields opens to a Voie Romaine. The initials of the musketeer Philippe Latour Dejean are still visible on the courtyard gates.
The village of Puylaurens, considered the birthplace of Marianne, was a Protestant stronghold during the Wars of Religion. The town of Revel hosts a market ranked among the most beautiful in France, renowned for its local producers (mostly organic). The estate is located within the triangle formed by Toulouse, Albi, and Carcassonne—a region known as the Pays de Cocagne.
