About this house rental
A brand-new luxury villa in Cosón, on the Samaná peninsula, a five-minute walk from Playa Cosón, one of the longest and wildest beaches in the Dominican Republic.
THE VILLA
Three air-conditioned bedrooms sleep 6 adults, each with its own private bathroom: a main suite with a king bed, and two bedrooms with queen beds. Bedroom 2 also opens onto its own private outdoor shower in the garden, and there is a powder room for guests.
In the air-conditioned living room, the extra-large sofa, with its ottoman and a mattress topper, makes an extra sleeping spot: comfortable for two children, a little snug for two adults. The villa welcomes up to 8 guests, including 6 adults at most. A family with more children? Send us a message and we will find the right setup.
The living space opens entirely onto the private pool, the wooden terrace and an enclosed tropical garden. An outdoor kitchen with a bar, barbecue and mini-fridge sits under the pergola, next to a traditional palm-thatched bohío.
THE LOCATION
Playa Cosón is a five-minute walk down a small path. The beach is quiet, golden and long enough that you can walk twenty minutes along the sand to Punta Popy. A beachfront restaurant is within walking distance.
The village of Las Terrenas, with its restaurants, grocery stores and markets, is a five-minute drive, and El Catey airport (AZS) is about 25 minutes away. We recommend renting a car, a quad or a scooter: it makes daily life easier and it is essential for exploring the peninsula, from Playa Rincón to the El Limón waterfall.
A NEIGHBOURHOOD STILL DEVELOPING
We would rather you know before booking: Cosón is a fast-growing area of Las Terrenas, and new construction is under way nearby, including across the street. Work takes place on weekdays during the day and on Saturday mornings; late afternoons, nights, Saturday afternoons and Sundays stay peaceful. The villa's garden is fully enclosed: a solid wall, lined with greenery, separates it from the street and the neighbouring lot, and keeps the pool and terraces private. A question about your dates? BUILT TO TREAD LIGHTLY
The villa runs primarily on its own solar panels. A battery and inverter take over automatically during grid outages, with around 24 hours of autonomy, so the power cuts that are common in the region go unnoticed. Rainwater is collected for household use. Wi-Fi runs at over 120 Mbps, whether you want to work or forget work entirely.
PRACTICAL
Private secure parking. Washer and dryer. Smart TV in the living room. Housekeeping and concierge service. A local team is on site for anything you need.
