About this house rental

Summary:

Spacious lakeside retreat overlooking Lake Travis in Austin's Hill Country. This 5BD/4BA home features panoramic lake and hill views, a private pool, hot tub, and a stunning backyard built for entertaining. Inside, enjoy an open-concept living area with soaring ceilings, a chef's kitchen, game room with wet bar, and room for the whole group. The Space:

Welcome to a beautifully appointed Hill Country home with sweeping panoramic views of Lake Travis, the surrounding hills, and the main basin — the kind of setting that stops you in your tracks the moment you walk in.

This spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home is spread across three levels, each designed to take full advantage of the views and give groups plenty of room to spread out while still coming together in the shared living spaces.

The top floor is the heart of the home, with an open-concept kitchen, family room, and formal living area all framed by those jaw-dropping lake and hill views. The chef's kitchen features granite countertops and plenty of prep space, flowing into a breakfast nook and living areas that make cooking and gathering feel effortless. Step out onto the patio with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine and watch the sun set over Lake Travis — it's a nightly highlight you won't tire of.

The second floor houses the luxurious primary suite along with additional bedrooms, offering comfortable, private retreats after a full day on the lake. The primary suite features a spa-like bathroom with a soaking tub, walk-in closet, and views that make it hard to leave the room.

On the main level, an oversized game room with a wet bar is the perfect hangout space for groups — whether you're watching the game, playing cards, or winding down after dinner. An additional bathroom and flexible space on this level round out the layout, giving everyone room to breathe.

Outside is where this home truly shines for groups. The large, private backyard features a refreshing pool and hot tub surrounded by the natural beauty of the Hill Country. The outdoor space is ideal for barbecues, pool days, and long evenings under the Texas sky. Situated on a generous corner lot, the property offers privacy and space that feel rare this close to the lake.

With five bedrooms and thoughtfully designed common areas across three floors, this home was made for gatherings — whether it's a family reunion, a friends' getaway, or a special celebration.

Guest Access:

You'll have exclusive access to the home and all the amenities shown on the listing!

The Neighborhood:

This home is nestled in the Travis Landing neighborhood, one of the most desirable pockets of the Lake Travis area — quiet and residential, yet remarkably close to the water, dining, and everything that makes this part of Austin special.

Lake Travis itself is the star attraction. The most visited freshwater lake in Texas, it offers world-class boating, swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. Lakeway Marina is just minutes away with full-service boat and watercraft rentals — from pontoons and ski boats to jet skis. Whether you want a lazy float or an adrenaline-fueled day on the water, it's all at your doorstep.

The dining scene along the lake is outstanding. The Oasis — the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas — sits on a cliff 450 feet above the water and is famous for its multi-level sunset views. Sundancer Grill at the Sail & Ski Yacht Club offers chef-crafted steaks and seafood right on the water. For a more refined experience, Sixty-Three Restaurant at Lakeway Resort & Spa serves inventive Southwestern cuisine with scenic lake views. And for craft cocktails and thoughtful New American fare, Hops and Thyme in Lakeway is a local favorite with a shaded patio under old oak trees.

For shopping and entertainment, the Hill Country Galleria in nearby Bee Cave is a sprawling lifestyle center with Dillard's, Whole Foods, a Cinemark theater, dozens of shops and restaurants, and a regular live music series hosted by Austin City Limits Radio.

Outdoor adventures extend well beyond the lake. Pace Bend Park offers over 650 acres and nine miles of Lake Travis shoreline for hiking, mountain biking, cliff jumping, and swimming. Mansfield Dam Park — just 2.7 miles from the home — provides panoramic views and easy water access. And for a true thrill, Lake Travis Zipline features the longest zipline in Texas, soaring high above the water.

The Texas Hill Country wine trail is a short drive away, with tasting rooms and vineyards like Spicewood Vineyards offering stunning views and warm Texas hospitality. Craft breweries including Frontyard Brewing round out the options for a relaxed afternoon of sipping and exploring.

Downtown Austin is about 30 minutes east, putting the live music capital of the world — with its legendary venues on Sixth Street and Rainey Street, James Beard-nominated restaurants, and vibrant culture — well within reach for a day or evening in the city.

Getting Around:

There is free parking at my home and easy access to Ubers in Austin.

Other Things to Note:

There is Air Conditioning throughout the house, but because this is an older house, we need to use split AC units on the top floor (3rd level). While these units definitely help, the third floor can stay warm, particularly during the summer months. These rooms will not get into the 70s when it is very hot. This includes the kitchen, dining area, and one bedroom with the bunkbed.

The pool is older and there is some chipping in the paint. It will be clean, but there are marks and spots on the pool walls. This is just from the paint, not dirt.

Pool heating fees of $100 per day apply to heating the pool and hot tub due to the high cost of utilities.
