About this house rental
This is a parent/child listing. If you want the in-law basement suite as well please look for that listing. The basement in-law suite will not be rented out or used during your stay.
Classic Chicago bungalow near downtown Des Plaines that has been remodeled for style and comfort. There is a 6-person spa (hot tub) with a full recliner seat in the backyard.
Located directly next to a public park with large playground and basketball half court to entertain your family. Close proximity to multiple highways to quickly take you in any direction including into Chicago. The UP-NW Metra line is 1 mile away for easy access to downtown Chicago.
The space
The house is setup to entertain inside and out. There is a beautiful deck that overlooks the park next door with outdoor seating. JBL Party Box 100 speakers to connect to with microphones for announcements and karaoke. A massage chair for relaxing in addition to the outdoor spa. Games and a smart TV in the living room with strong Wi-Fi via fiber optic connection. Plus a work station to connect your laptop to with a USB C docking station. You're welcome to harvest as much as you want from the garden as well. There is a fully equipped kitchen, gas range, keurig coffee machine, and lots of counter space along with a 8 person dinning table. Two of the dinning chairs are stored in the bedrooms upstairs to keep space open.
There are 4 queen sized beds in 4 bedrooms with a kids racecar bed with a twin mattress in 1 of the bedrooms. There is also a twin inflatable mattress and twin mattress pad to be used as another bed if you need it as well as a long couch in the living room. There are phone chargers in every room. The upstairs half bath is small but functional and has a child seat accessory if needed.
Proximity to:
5 minutes to Allstate Arena, grocery stores, Metra train station, Waterpark, restaurants and stores
10~15 minutes to O’Hare airport, Rosemont Convention Center, Fashion Outlet, CTA Blue Line, Hospital and Rivers Casino.
20 minutes to Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, Medieval Times, and HIP mall
Outdoor Activities:
1 block from the Des Plaines river and beautiful protected walking trails that go for over 11 miles
Multiple scenic lakes within 2 miles including Lake Opeka which has the famous restaurant “Foxtail On The Lake” (reservation needed), a 18 hole par 3 golf course (with “foot golf” option for soccer players), walking path around the lake, fishing, and swan boat rentals.
There is another 9 hole par 3 course at Golf Center Des Plaines with lights for playing at night and a driving range.
Multiple full golf courses available such as Rob Roy and Chick Evans
Minigolf available at Mountain View Adventure Center
I also have bicycles and kayaks available for use with a liability and damage waiver to be signed before use
I will be as flexible with check in and check out times as possible to help with your stay as long as it doesn't impact others stays.
There will be breakfast foods and snacks you're welcome to help yourself too as well.

There is a big beautiful yard, deck, and spa (hot tub) for your use as well as the top two floors of the house.

There are options for laundry at CD One cleaners in Des Plaines. The laundry is locked in the in-law suite so it is not accessible with this listing. If you need to do any laundry onsite please message me and I may be able to help.
Please no glass in or around the spa (hot tub). If you need anything or are curious about anything please reach out.
Instructions for the massage chair:
Please no food or drinks in the chair at any time
I recommend starting at intensity 1 or 2, instead of the default 3, by flipping down the bottom of the remote.
When the massage ends it will keep you in 0 gravity so press power to put the chair back down, wait for the chair to be completely down and stopped moving before getting out or it could break.
It's recommended to limit yourself to 30 minutes per day.
The motors can overheat if you do too many massages in a row. Please wait 30 minutes per hour of usage.
If you're pregnant or have any health concerns please check with your doctor first.
