Vermont Lakefront Cottage Getaway

This private cottage in the Northeast Kingdom offers the perfect getaway for your family and friends, or just on your own. It's located at the end of a dirt road, yet minutes from town. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating and gazing at sunsets from your beach. The porch overlooks the lake and is perfect for sipping coffee or rediscovering board games with your family. Or explore nearby hiking, biking, sightseeing and shopping opportunities, from the Newport Derby Rail Trail to a quick jaunt across the Canadian border to a spectacular view of Lake Willoughby from Mt. Pisgah.

The space
Our family has spent many wonderful summer vacations here, and now we want others to have that experience! We brought kids of all ages - the shallow shoreline makes the beach a good place for them to play. There's also a DVD/Blu-ray player, a smart TV, and retro computer games. Please use your own judgment as to whether this space will work for your kids. There's even 300 Mbps WiFi in case you need to connect for work.

Note: The watercraft at the cottage is not for guest use due to an insurance requirement. Canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards can be rented locally and delivered right to your door! There's also a public boat launch a few miles away that puts in just a short distance from the cottage with a mooring at the cottage. The wood stove is also not for guest use. The heat pump heats and cools the camp nicely.
