About this apartment rental
Welcome to my personal favorite spot,
, a cozy duplex apartment (approx. 75 square meters) in a quiet location right in the heart of Murnau. A short 2-minute walk down a small alley takes you to the picturesque, lively pedestrian zone, which invites you to stroll among its numerous cafés and shops. You’ll also find doctors’ offices and pharmacies right nearby. It’s a 10-minute walk to the train station, or you can take a 10–15-minute walk into the beautiful countryside, down to Staffelsee or into the Murnauer Moos, with a magnificent view of the Zugspitze.
The apartment faces east and is located on the 2nd floor of a rear building in the “Arkadenhäuser am Kurpark” complex, not far from the cultural and conference center.
In winter, when the leaves fall from the trees, you can even catch a glimpse of the mountains to the east.
Perhaps you, too, will find your favorite spot in this place so dear to my heart.
"Lieblingsplatz" Vacation Apartment:
From the hallway, you’ll enter the bathroom, freshly renovated in 2026, which features a shower and bathtub perfect for relaxing. You don’t need to worry about towels or a hair dryer.
Next, you’ll head to the heart of the apartment: the inviting, high-ceilinged “loft living room” with a sleeper sofa, smart TV, and a hanging chair for “chilling out.”
From here, a small staircase leads up to the open loft with a 120-meter bed, from which you can gaze up at the starry sky through the small skylight or relax in the beanbag chair. If you don’t need the acoustic separation from the living room, you’ll find your favorite spot here.
The dining area is also located in the living room, leading into the small kitchen. Here you can cook on two portable ceramic cooktops or use the oven and microwave, or make yourself a hot drink with the De’Longhi espresso machine or a kettle. If you’re in the mood for something “cold,” there’s also a freezer compartment in the refrigerator. To make the most of your vacation, I’ve finally had a small dishwasher since 2026.
From the living room, you can then proceed to the separate bedroom, which features a 2-meter double bed, a cozy reading chair, and a folding table for playing, writing, or even as a nice workspace. There’s also closet space and a dresser available here.
From the living room, you can also step out onto the green balcony, where you can enjoy the morning sun, pleasant afternoon shade, and a magnificent view over the hills of Murnau. No street noise—just birds and church bells, or occasionally a car parking in one of the 5 parking spaces directly behind the house, which are also available to you free of charge.
