About this house rental
Our pretty three bedroom Katoomba cottage is full of light and charm. With a large sunroom/dining room overlooking a beautiful garden and sunny deck, it`s a great space to relax, enjoy nearby bush walks or just hang out in front of the log fire.
The cottage has three bedrooms, accommodating up to seven people. Two of the bedrooms are doubles and the third has bunk beds with a trundle.
There is one bathroom with a shower and baby bath, and a separate toilet. It has a lovely sunroom/dining room with views of the garden and high ceilings and most of the cottage has beautiful hardwood floors.
There is an open fireplace with a screen and we will supply a basket of firewood and kindling to get you going.
It`s located in a quiet area of Katoomba, close to Mini Ha Ha Falls, and only a few minutes drive from the centre of town with its quirky antique shops and great cafes - all in the middle of a world heritage listed national park.
Whether you want to go bushwalking, check out the local produce, cook up a storm or hang out in front of the open fire with friends or a good book, you`ll be able to do it comfortably.
Kids will love the huge back garden the block is over 1000 square meters.
There is central gas heating throughout the house which warms the place up in an instant and as previously mentioned we`ll supply enough wood to see you through your first evening.
The gas kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm. We even have a veggie patch with a range of herbs you are welcome to use.
We happily supply sheets, towels and bedding but you`re welcome to bring your own (and we`ll reduce the cleaning fee).
There is wifi via the NBN and the TV has access to all the free to air digital channels.
There is a collection of toys suitable for young kids and a few board games including trivial persuit, scrabble, backgammon and chess.
There is also a bird feeder that attracts spectacular king parrots, rosellas and sulphur crested cockatoos most mornings.
The cottage is located only a very short drive or 20 minute walk from the station. It`s close to Mini Ha-Ha Falls, which has an excellent swimming hole and there is a large bush reserve at the end of the street for you to explore.
There is an infrequent bus service that stops nearby but if you don`t have a car, a taxi from the station is the most convenient option.
The nightly/weekly rate covers 2 adults, with a minimum 2 night stay. The cottage can accommodate up to 7 people comfortably and additional guests are welcome, at $100 per person, per night. There is also an additional $60 flat-rate cleaning fee.
We happily supply sheets, towels and bedding but you`re welcome to bring your own (and we`ll reduce the cleaning fee to $40).
You will have exclusive use of the entire property.

Please consider our lovely neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm
No smoking inside. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the ashtray provided in the backyard of the property.
No parties or events.
No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 7 people.
Keep a close eye on your kids near the fishpond and the open fire.
No pets allowed.
Make sure you turn off the lights, air conditioning, and any electronics when you leave the house. Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the door.
Report any damage and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages exceeding the security deposit amount must be paid by guests and will be reported to Airbnb.
Wash the dishes, and throw out the garbage before checkout.
You may find condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests in the kitchen. We try our very best to ensure that they have not expired. HOWEVER, please inspect them before you use them as we don’t take any responsibility for these consumables.
