House in Allegheny River, PA
Reasons to book
About this house rental
Spend the day hiking in Allegheny National Forest, exploring the river or wandering into Warren, then come home, light the wood-burning fireplace and settle in for the night.
With a king loft, queen bedroom, full kitchen, firepit and your own wooded acre, the Allegheny A-Frame is an easy escape for anniversaries, couples' weekends, family getaways or a few quiet days away.
FALL + WINTER AT THE A-FRAME
Fall is one of our favorite times here: changing leaves, crisp hiking weather, cool nights around the firepit and evenings by the fireplace.
Winter slows things down even more. Explore snowy trails, go snowshoeing, or stay in with coffee, board games and a fire going.
THE A-FRAME
The cabin has an open main living space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room centered around a wood-burning fireplace.
Large windows and the classic A-frame shape keep the woods feeling close, even when you're spending the day inside.
MAIN FLOOR BEDROOM
Queen bed, large picture window looking into the trees and a Smart TV.
KING LOFT
Upstairs you'll find a king bed, reading corner, workspace and a small private balcony with hammock chairs. It's one of our favorite places for morning coffee when the weather cooperates.
KITCHEN + DINING
The kitchen is stocked for actual cooking, with cookware, dishes and everyday essentials.
A harvest table seats four beside the wood-burning fireplace.
OUTSIDE
The front deck opens onto the yard and firepit area, with space for cornhole and Yardzee.
A second deck behind the cabin has a propane BBQ for outdoor meals during the warmer months.
The property sits on approximately one wooded acre.
BATHROOM
One full bathroom on the main floor with a shower/tub combination.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
We want you to know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
ROAD NOISE + PRIVACY
The A-frame is conveniently located directly off US-62, making it easy to get around the area. US-62 is also a fast road, so traffic can be heard from the property, particularly during the day.
The cabin sits on its own wooded acre, but neighboring homes are visible from parts of the property.
It feels tucked into the trees, but it is **not completely secluded or silent**. If you're looking for total isolation with no neighbors or road noise, this likely isn't the right cabin for you.
If you're looking for a cozy place in the woods with easy car access to the river, forest and surrounding towns, you're in the right place.
WINTER ACCESS | NOVEMBER–MARCH
Our stone and gravel driveway is steep.
During snowy or icy conditions, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended. Small cars and low-clearance sedans may have difficulty accessing the property.
Northwestern Pennsylvania weather can change quickly, so please check the forecast before your trip and arrive in a vehicle appropriate for the conditions.
Guests are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is suitable for winter access. We cannot guarantee driveway access for vehicles that are not equipped for the conditions or issue refunds solely because a guest's vehicle cannot make it up the driveway due to winter weather.
FIREWOOD
We provide enough firewood to get you started with your first couple of fires. Additional firewood can be purchased locally.
HUNTING SEASON
This is a rural area where hunting is common. During hunting season, you may occasionally hear gunshots in the surrounding area.
PETS
Pets must be approved before booking.
GUEST ACCESS
The cabin and property are yours during your stay, with the exception of the basement.
There's a private driveway with parking for up to four vehicles.
Check-in is easy with a smart lock. Your private access code will be provided before arrival.
Whether you come for the trails, fall color, snow, river or simply two days of doing very little, the Allegheny A-Frame is a cozy place to call home while you're here.
