📍 THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Maroubra Beach is a National Surfing Reserve, patrolled year-round, with a protected corner for kids, an outdoor gym, skate park, electric BBQs and a run of cafes behind it. South Maroubra Shopping Village is five minutes on foot: Woolworths, pharmacy, post office, coffee.
Heffron Park (five-minute drive) has pools, gym, tennis, netball, pickleball and a criterium track, and Anzac Parade at the end of the street is the La Perouse Loop, Sydney's best-known road cycling route.
Golfers are spoilt. New South Wales Golf Club, regularly ranked in the world's top 50, is minutes away, along with The Coast, St Michael's and Randwick.
Malabar Headland National Park has clifftop tracks and whale watching in season. The Foreshore boat ramp is eight minutes for Botany Bay and the offshore grounds. Ten minutes south, La Perouse and Bare Island deliver what most locals will tell you are Sydney's best sunsets, and Little Bay and Malabar stay calm enough to snorkel with toddlers.
Buses to the CBD are a short walk. The airport is fifteen minutes.
