About this house rental
The Space
The house has something for everyone: toddlers, teens, and adults. It features three full bedrooms (two queen beds and one twin). The basement can be used as an additional bedroom (with a fold-out futon) and/or game room, including over 60 board games, toys for toddlers, and a TV. The house has two full bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The full-sized kitchen is equipped with everything you need to create memorable meals. Enjoy your meals in the breakfast nook off the kitchen or in the dining room. Relax in front of the fire with good conversation or roll out the 60 inch TV to enjoy the game.
The backyard may be the best part of the house, with a myriad of opportunities to relax throughout the yard. A pergola covers a seating area and dining table on the outdoor patio. A swinging day bed at the back of the yard is a great place for quiet reading, chatting, or napping. You can grill on the outdoor barbeque or, in the spring and fall, make s’mores at the backyard firepit (although not recommended, you can use the firepit without making s’mores as well). The chickens (don’t worry, they are enclosed and self-sufficient) provide fresh eggs and the garden produce can provide some additional local flavor to any home-cooked meals. Whether you are coming for a school visit, a sporting event, or just to enjoy all that Eugene has to offer, rest assured you will not lack for anything in this home away from home.
Guest Access
Information for accessing the house is provided to guests via email one week prior to arrival. Check-in is 4-9pm. Check out is 11am. We are happy to accommodate an early check-in/late check-out when it is possible, and you will be notified beforehand when either is a possibility.
Note
The Whiteaker neighborhood is best for folks who have a tolerance for human diversity and do not mind occasional encounters with unhoused people. The neighborhood is safe, but serves a touch more humanity than typical suburbia.
